Hi, my name is Ilaria

Welcome to my online space!

I'm the voice, author, and creator behind Ilaria's Tasty Recipes. What started as a casual hobby over 20 years ago, after numbers of cookbooks, I decided to keep track of all my experiments here.

I'm Italian and I grew up in a tiny village close to Venice. My grandparents were my childhood buddies.  My afternoons were all about helping grandpa in his veggie garden or vineyard, and then cooking up something with grandma.

As a food lover, I am constantly seeking new culinary experiences and flavors from all around the world. I enjoy exploring different cuisines and trying out unique recipes in my own kitchen. 

My passion for wine has led me to become a Sommelier, allowing me to deepen my knowledge of various grape varieties, wine regions, and food pairings. 

I find great joy in capturing the beauty of food and wine through my photography, creating visually appealing images that evoke the senses. 

Travelling is another one of my passions, as it allows me to discover new cultures, traditions, and of course, their local cuisine and wines. Whether it's indulging in street food in Asia or dining at Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe, I embrace every opportunity to immerse myself in different culinary experiences. 

I love experimenting with flavors and ingredients, pushing the boundaries of traditional recipes to create unique and innovative dishes. 

My love for food, wine, photography, and travel continuously inspires and fuels my creativity in the culinary world.
